Illucid Design is a web design and graphic design studio based in Athens, Ontario, Canada, operated by Todd. Athens is a small community between Kingston and Ottawa in Eastern Ontario. We provide web design, logo design, graphic design, and related services to small businesses in Athens, Ottawa, Kingston, and across Eastern Ontario. You can reach us at hello@illuciddesign.com.
We only collect information you voluntarily provide to us. When you fill out the contact form on our website, we collect your name, business name (if provided), email address, the type of service you're interested in, and any message you include. We do not collect payment information through our website — payments are handled separately and directly. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or any third-party analytics tools that collect your personal data. The only data we receive is what you send us directly.
We use the information you send us solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. We may retain your contact details to follow up on an existing conversation or project. If you become a client, we may store your contact and project details for the duration of our working relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes.
By submitting the contact form, you consent to receiving an email reply from Illucid Design regarding your enquiry. We do not send newsletters, marketing emails, or unsolicited messages. Every email we send is a direct response to something you initiated.
This website does not use cookies to track you. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking technology on this site. The only session data we store temporarily is what's needed to process your contact form submission (e.g. error messages if a field is missing). This data is cleared immediately after you submit the form.
Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log the request to serve those fonts, which could include your IP address. This is standard behaviour for any website using Google Fonts. We do not control Google's data practices — you can review them at policies.google.com/privacy. We also display images loaded from Unsplash (unsplash.com). Unsplash may log standard server request data. Beyond these, no third-party services are loaded on this site.
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to that information, and request that we delete your information from our records. To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at hello@illuciddesign.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. Enquiries submitted through the contact form are transmitted to us via encrypted email. We do not store form submissions in a database. Once we've received your message, it lives in our email inbox and is treated with the same care as any private business correspondence.
Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We encourage you to check back occasionally. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
